    Three interesting things
There are a couple other eBay items of mine going off today I thought I would natter on about, in part because sometimes people ask me for hints on selling on eBay.

1967 West Point Yearbook - current bid $130

If you don't have stuff to sell yourself, you can sell stuff for other people on commission. I have no idea why this particular yearbook has so many bids and people watching. I'm guessing it's either family members or some famous guy is in here somewhere. Fine to me either way. This is one of the many books I sell on behalf of a very sweet semi-retired couple who add to their income by buying up storage units that have gone into rental default. They have a little flea market in their yard most of the year, weather permitting. But people don't buy used books around here much. So I take the good ones to sell online and we split the sales price. Win-win situation!

Rare Spike Jones 45 record - currently at $27.01

When you go to auctions, you often buy a whole box of Stuff just to get one thing. Somewhere along the line we acquired a stack of about 3 dozen beat-up old 45 rpm records. Mostly kid stuff and really common 50s pop (April Love, by Pat Boone, etc). But as you go along in the business, you learn little buzz words and names...and most especially you learn not to throw anything away until you research it. So I Googled Spike Jones, and the song title, and found...only a relatively few hits. Plus one guy's web page where he claimed the song was rare. That was enough for me to give it a try on eBay. Looks like maybe the web page guy was right!

Alligator purse - no bids, and that's OK!

Probably my favorite part about this whole business is the cool stuff I get to keep. I deliberately set a higher price on this than they tend to go for, because when it doesn't sell, I am going to take it apart and use the pieces for a pattern, and remake it to use as an actual purse!
