Caught up!!! And also Tsunami Aid stuff.
WHEW!
Everything that people have paid me for so far has now been packed and shipped. *pants in exhaustion*
My more usual modus operandi is to list ten items a day M-Sat. If about half sell, that and the outgoing books makes for a good level of activity for me. This week being pretty full of packing, I didn't get many new items put up on eBay, so it's mostly relists of things.
But I did get signed up for MissionFish.org, which is eBay's system for helping non-profits. I have seen that many of my friends here on LJ are coming up with different ways to help the tsunami victims. Some people have donated and then put a donation link in their LJ entry. Some are offering art or fic to others who donate. There have been lots of good ideas, and they boil down to offering up what a person has.
Well, what we have is Stuff. Great galloping heaping piles of Stuff, Stuff and more Stuff.
Therefore, I am going to have one item a day in my eBay listings be a Tsunami Aid listing. Those get listed a different way, though the MissionFish page, because that is how they get tracked by the approved groups, and also how people can trust the money they send will actually GO to the charity listed.
Oh, and my charity pick was originally going to be Doctors Without Borders. But it turns out they have plenty now, and are encouraging money to be given to other groups. So I was leaning towards Habitat for Humanity, but then Howard Dean sent out a message to his true believers, and his suggestion is Save the Children. So I will be doing those two in rotation, I think.
Here is what I have so far:
100 pc Texas board puzzle, NEW!Rare CD, Free to be A FamilyI listed one today as well, the Croatian language TRUE 1st edition of Lois McMaster Bujold's Winterfair Gifts, but each auction has to be physically approved by the charity, so I don't know when that one will go live.
If anyone wants any help putting up their own charity auctions, I'm hanging out my free consultation sign!
