We give our catty crew (all four of 'em) a cat run, and the run of the back yard during the day. Seems to have made for less-discontented cats. Wasn't practical/safe to do this at the previous house, and I still have to put with Mittsy bouncing off my bed at night. Fewer hairballs too, probably because more of 'em get thrown outside...

And yeah, I hear 'ya about the clutter collection.
